About Pilates Equipment

Over 90 years ago Joseph H. Pilates developed a technique originally termed “Contrology”. Pilates’ method combined his studies of eastern and western philosophies of health. He designed more than 500 exercises that emphasized breathing and core strength to develop a perfectly functioning body. When the deep abdominal muscles become strong, they provide the support required to train strength and flexibility throughout the entire musculature. Pilates gives us the opportunity to deepen our self awareness and evolve to a higher level of physical and mental health.

Achieving Harmony of Health and Form

At Body Evolve, we focus on mindful conscious movement that engages body and mind. Pilates one-on-one training improves strength, flexibility, coordination, concentration, balance, and posture. Routine activities, overtraining, and stress all create muscle imbalances. These imbalances can lead to pain, fatigue, and immobility.
