Chronic lower back pain, joint pain, scoliosis, sciatica, degenerative and herniated discs all can benefit from Pilates by re-training the neuromuscular system to effectively mobilize and support the spine. Pilates is an exceptionally beneficial adjunct to the rehabilitation process of physical therapy patients. It is also an excellent means for athletes to enhance their performance. Pilates is not just a good workout, it is a balance between strength and flexibility, therapy and fitness.

Achieving Harmony of Health and Form

Body Evolve’s licensed physical therapists emphasize treating the entire body, as well as specific symptoms. Quality therapy must acknowledge the mental, emotional, and physical aspects of the whole person. Initial physical therapy sessions at Body Evolve include an evaluation to thoroughly assess each individual’s current condition. A one-on-one personalized rehabilitation program is developed to meet patient’s desired goals. Physical therapists incorporate a variety of methods including Pilates, joint mobilization, fascial mobilization, muscle energy technique, neuromuscular re-education, progressive stabilization training, functional training, and modalities.
